By accessing or using RepoSentinel ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
RepoSentinel is a repository monitoring and security analysis platform that:
- Monitors GitHub repositories for security vulnerabilities
- Analyzes dependency health and outdated packages
- Provides security recommendations and alerts
- Generates repository health scores
- Offers team collaboration and organization features
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Registration
To use RepoSentinel, you must:
- Be at least 13 years old
- Have a valid GitHub account
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account
3.2 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- All activities that occur under your account
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
- Ensuring your contact information is up to date
4. Subscription Plans and Billing
4.1 Available Plans
RepoSentinel offers several subscription tiers:
- Free: Up to 5 public repositories
- Developer ($9.99/month): Up to 25 repositories, private repos
- Team ($29.99/month): Up to 100 repositories, organization features
- Enterprise ($99.99/month): Up to 500 repositories, advanced features
4.2 Billing Terms
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
- We may change prices with 30 days notice
- Failed payments may result in service suspension
4.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.
5. Acceptable Use
5.1 Permitted Use
You may use RepoSentinel to:
- Monitor your own repositories
- Analyze repositories you have permission to access
- Share results within your organization
- Integrate with your development workflow
5.2 Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Access repositories without proper authorization
- Use the service for illegal activities
- Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the service
- Share your account with unauthorized users
- Use the service to harm others or their systems
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
6. GitHub Integration
RepoSentinel integrates with GitHub through their API. You understand that:
- We access only the permissions you explicitly grant
- GitHub's terms and policies also apply
- We are not responsible for GitHub service availability
- You can revoke permissions at any time through GitHub
7. Data and Privacy
Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:
- We only access data necessary to provide our services
- We do not modify or delete your repositories
- We protect your data with industry-standard security
- You retain ownership of your repository data
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Rights
RepoSentinel and its features are protected by intellectual property laws. We retain all rights to:
- The RepoSentinel platform and software
- Our proprietary algorithms and analysis methods
- Documentation, guides, and content we create
- Trademarks, logos, and branding
8.2 Your Rights
You retain ownership of:
- Your repository code and content
- Data and information you provide
- Customizations and configurations
9. Service Availability
We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee:
- 100% uptime or availability
- Uninterrupted access to the service
- Error-free operation
- Compatibility with all systems
We provide service level objectives but not legally binding SLAs unless separately agreed.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- RepoSentinel is provided "as is" without warranties
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
- You use the service at your own risk
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Violation of these terms
- Infringement of third-party rights
- Your repository content or data
12. Termination
12.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or using account settings.
12.2 Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your account if you:
- Violate these terms
- Fail to pay subscription fees
- Engage in abusive behavior
- Use the service fraudulently
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via:
- Email notification
- In-app notifications
- Website announcements
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
14.1 Governing Law
These terms are governed by Belgian law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14.2 Dispute Resolution
For users in the European Union:
- Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Brussels, Belgium
- You may also file complaints with your local data protection authority
- EU consumers may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform
For users outside the EU:
- Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or Belgian courts
- Local consumer protection laws may apply
15. Regional Compliance
15.1 European Union (GDPR)
For EU users, additional rights apply under GDPR including data portability, right to be forgotten, and complaint procedures with supervisory authorities.
